One year ago today...

One year ago today, my mother took her last breath. My father passed away two months after she did. It's been a challenging year, to say the least. In honor of my mom's memory, I took the day off. I've just returned from a drive up to Mt. Hood. I took a brief hike up past Timberline Lodge and found a quiet place to sit and meditate. Sometimes it's so healthy to step out of your normal routine and give your perspective a gentle widening.

My parents no longer walk this land, and I'm now free to realize my true being. So, I say goodbye to my mother, thankful for all the lessons she taught, thankful for this blessed gift of life I have received.

I've started taking pictures again... one of my loves... and, wanted to share some of the best shots with you. So, I've created a photo album, which I'll be periodically updating.
